Executive Vice-President, Chemicals

Mr Al-Zamel is Vice-President of SABIC's Chemicals business unit. He is responsible for all Chemicals activities at SABIC.

Mr Al-Zamel was one of SABIC’s first employees, joining when the company was formed in 1976. In that time he has held various positions, and since 1998 he has been Group President of SABIC's fertilizers business. He has also been Vice-President of Marketing, General Manager at the Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Marketing Company (SANAPIK) and has held positions in SABIC's petrochemical, engineering, operations, and marketing departments – both in Saudi Arabia and the USA.

Mr Al-Zamel earned a degree in chemical engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in 1976.
