  • Net profits in 2005 touched SR 19.2 billion (US$5.1 billion), a 35% increase over the previous year’s figure.

  • Revenues rose to SR 78 billion (US$20.7 billion), a 14% increase on the previous year.

  • Average profit growth over the past five years was 58% and the average sales growth was 25%.

  • Total assets stood at SR 137 billion (US$36.5 billion) at the end of 2005, an increase of 10% over the previous year’s figure. This is an increase of 54% compared with five years ago.

  • The value of current assets at the end of 2005 stood at SR 56 billion (US$14.9 billion).

  • Shareholders’ equity rose to SR 62 billion (US$16.5 billion), a 22% increase over the figure for 2004.

  • SABIC is now the ninth-largest petrochemical company in the world.

  • In 2005, SABIC was named by Bloomberg as the 13th largest company in the world by market capitalization. SABIC was also ranked as the second-largest company outside the United States and the United Kingdom by market value.
