SABIC has the largest research and technology complex in the Middle East. It employs more than 500 scientists, researchers and technicians from all over the world.

We have research and technology (R&T) facilities in Riyadh and Al-Jubail, and satellite R&T facilities in the USA (Sugar Land, Texas and Little Ferry, New Jersey), the Netherlands (Geleen) and India (Vadodara).

In 2005 our research efforts led to 99 new patent applications, bringing our total number of proprietary patent applications to more than 695. Of these, 277 patents have already been granted.

We currently license our process technologies to more than 19 chemical companies in 11 countries.
