Description
Iso-Butyraldehyde (I-Bal) is a colorless liquid with a pungent odor. Irritating to eyes and skin. Also causes dizziness, nausea. Flammable. It is obtained indirectly from the 2-Ethyl Hexanol (2-EH) manufacturing process.

Applications
Intermediates in the synthesis of pantothenic acid, valine, leucine, cellulose esters. Perfumes, plasticizers, resins, petroleum additive, iso butanol and neo pentyl glycol.
Storage and handling
A ground and secure metal container should be used when dispensing or pouring the product. All personnel contact and inhalation must be avoided. It should be used in a well ventilated area.
