Compound 28-28-0
Description
This derivative of ammonium phosphate includes urea (added during granulation) to equalize the proportion of nitrogen to
phosphate. This compound serves as a second application (top dressing) to DAP when higher nitrogen or phosphorous content is required. Fertilizer applications include vegetables, fruit orchard trees, landscape grasses, bushes and trees. Compound 28-28-0 offers greater solubility when added to center pivot irrigation water. While Compound 28-28-0 contains only phosphorous and nitrogen, it is well suited for use in potassium-rich soils or where irrigation water contains dissolved potassium salts, which can be confirmed through chemical analysis of the water. Otherwise, compounds 14-38-10 or 11-29-19 can be alternatively used.
Properties
Light brown, soluble in water.
