SABIC began operations in Europe when we acquired DSM Petrochemicals in 2002, headquartered in Sittard, The Netherlands. It enabled us to take a big step towards achieving our ambition of being a global producer as well as a global supplier of high-quality petrochemical products.

With its ambitious growth plans, SABIC now offers attractive career opportunities for students, graduates and professionals at its state-of-the art manufacturing operations in Teesside (United Kingdom), Cartagena (Spain), Gelsenkirchen (Germany), Geleen and Bergen op Zoom (The Netherlands), Wiener Neustadt (Austria), Pontirolo (Italy), and Genk (Belgium).

In total, our European business employs nearly 6,000 people at 12 manufacturing facilities; three Technology centers; and a broad network of commercial sales offices located in almost every European country.

Together, our teams in Europe serve customers in three of our six business units: Polymers, Chemicals and Innovative Plastics.
