Executive Vice-President, Corporate HR

Mr. Yousef Al-Benyan assumed the post of SABIC Vice President, Corporate Human Resources and Corporate Communications, in February 2008. He also holds the position of Chairman of the Board, SABIC Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., Singapore. 

Before his present assignment, Mr. Al-Benyan was  General Manager of Fiber Intermediates in SABIC, Riyadh. Earlier he was General Manager,  SABIC Americas, Inc., Houston, USA, from 2005 to 2007 and he was General Manager, SABIC Asia Pacific from 2002 - 2005. 

Al-Benyan began his career in  SABIC in 1987 with an assignment in the Public Relations department. He was later posted as Manager, Exhibitions, from 1990 to 1994. He subsequently took up various positions including those of Commercial Director and  Operations Manager.

Holder of an economics degree in 1987 and a master’s degree in Industrial Management in 1996.  Mr. Al-Benyan is noted for his success in improving the company’s market share in SABIC Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. and SABIC Americas, Inc. Houston.
