Vice-President, Metals

Before he took up his current role, Mr Al-Shuweir was the Vice-President of Legal and Audit. Prior to that, he was President of the Ibn-Hayyan Plastic Products Company (TAYF) and the Eastern Petrochemical Company (SHARQ), as well as Vice-President of the Arabian Petrochemical Company (PETROKEMYA).

He has chaired the boards of SABIC Marketing Americas, and TAYF. He was also a member of SADAF's Pricing and Industrial committees, and was Vice-Chairman of the Board of SADAF.

Mr Al-Shuweir graduated from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in 1977, where he received his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
