Vice-President, Manufacturing

Before his current position, Mr Al-Ohali was the COO of SABIC Europe. He has earlier held positions as the Vice-President of the Specialty Products Strategic Business Unit and the Vice-President of Fertilizers.

He is also Vice-Chairman of the Saudi Petrochemical Company (SADAF, a joint venture between SABIC and Shell) and is a member of the SABIC Research and Technology Executive Committee.

Mr Al-Ohali began his career with SADAF in September 1984 as a process engineer and member of the ethanol plant start-up team. He advanced through various positions in operations, technical services and planning within SADAF and became its president in March 1999. In 2004 Mr Al-Ohali was appointed SABIC’s Vice-President of Fertilizers, a role that he held until November 2006.

Mr Al-Ohali graduated from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, where he gained a master’s degree in chemical engineering with the highest honors.
