LED Lighting requires a high light-output as well as scattering light and hiding the LED light source. For retrofit bulbs, a high beam angle is also required to maximize your design and output performance of the LED device. For linear lighting LED tubes, high modulus diffusive solutions are available to minimize deflection even by reducing wall thickness. SABIC developed a new generation of polycarbonate - LEXAN™ LUX resin - that meets these needs and also has improved heat aging properties. These resins are available in different diffusion levels.
