Sami Mohammed Al-Osaimi

Sami Al-Osaimi joined SABIC as Chemical Engineer with more than 30 years of experience, assuming his present position, Executive Vice President, Polymers SBU.

Mr. Al-Osaimi was (A) Executive Vice President, Petrochemicals SBU for Alost one year. He was the Vice President of PE & Sales in Petrochemicals SBU. He was Vice President of Corporate Affairs reporting to SABIC VC & CEO for almost 4 years. In 2016, He was the Vice President of Global PE BU, Global Polymers Sales & MDTS in Petrochemicals SBU. He was also the Vice President of Elastomers & 5Ps BU and before that he was the Vice President of LL/LD PE BU in 2014.

He has joined SABIC in 1993 and worked with Chemicals Technology Group, SABIC R&D Center in Riyadh, and then moved to External Research Centers responsible for Houston, USA and Baroda, India Technology Centers. 

In 2000, he has moved to Intermediates SBU leading the Operations & Investments activities and then led the Global EG business as General Manager Fiber Intermediates Marketing for few years before he moved to Polymers SBU in 2009 as the General Manager HDPE BU.

He has been the Chairman of Gulf Plastic Pipe Academy in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates in 2009 for three years and he is also Board member for few of SABIC Affiliates in Saudi Arabia and overseas.

He holds Master Degree in Chemical Engineering from King Saud University and bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from King Saud University, Riyadh

Currently, he is the Chairman of SSNC, Chairman of SSTPC and Board member in Nusaned Investment company.
