SABIC was recently confirmed as one of the world’s most valuable chemical brands in a new report published by the world’s leading independent branded business valuation and strategy consultancy, Brand Finance.

The 2019 edition of the consultancy’s internationally respected Brand Finance Chemicals 10 report places SABIC among the top three global chemicals companies and estimates the brand value as being $3.964 billion. The ranking marks a fifth consecutive year of growth for the SABIC brand and an almost seven percent increase on the 2018 valuation. SABIC is the only company from the Middle East to be included in the 2019 report.

Mr. Yousef Al-Benyan, SABIC Vice Chairman and CEO, said: “We are proud to see that SABIC’s brand value is consistently growing over time and this reflects our collective efforts to become the preferred world leader in chemicals. Our successful transformation program and unwavering commitment to enhance company performance will ensure that our brand value will only continue to surge in the future.

“Independent recognition of our standing is a tangible result of our efforts to build a strong and differentiated global brand perception, reflecting our purpose, Chemistry that Matters™. We are constantly exploring new ways to communicate the essence of our brand more consistently and embed it in the experiences we deliver to our stakeholders.”

Brand Finance utilizes a bespoke methodology to determine the brand value of a company. Factors considered include stakeholder familiarity and satisfaction; forecasted business performance; and the assumed monetary worth of the brand name should it be licensed.
