COOKIE POLICY

This Cookie Policy applies to all websites that make use of cookies and are operated by Saudi Basic Industries Corp. ("Site").

You cannot deactivate Necessary and Functional cookies. For these cookies your consent is not legally required. Statistical cookies are optional, by default activated. Marketing cookies are by default not activated. Below you will find an explanation of the types of cookies we use and for which cookies your consent is required.

What are cookies?

Cookies are files or pieces of information that are downloaded by your internet browser on your computer (or other devices) when you visit a Site. The Site sends information to the browser that then creates a text file. Every time you go back to the same Site, the browser retrieves and sends this file to the Site's server. Cookies usually include the name of the Site that sent the cookie, how long the cookie will remain on your device (i.e. its lifetime), and a value, which is usually a randomly generated unique number. Cookies are used to help you to navigate efficiently through the Site, perform certain functions and improve your user experience when you return to a Site that you have already visited before.

There are two types of cookies: "session cookies" and "persistent cookies ".

  • Session cookies are temporary cookies that remain on your device until you leave the Site (i.e. “close the session”).
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device for their “lifetime”, as specified in the cookies, or until you manually delete them (using your browser settings). They are activated each time you visit a Site that uses such cookies.

What categories of cookies are there?

Generally, cookies can be classified into four groups in accordance with their purpose and function:

  • Necessary cookies

Necessary cookies (essential cookies) enable you to navigate on a Site and to use its features. Without these cookies, the services you have requested cannot be provided. They remember which products you want to compare, what is in your shopping basket and/or remember how far you are in the process of a purchase order. They remain on your device until you close your browser session.

  • Functional cookies

Functional cookies enable a Site to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. The purpose of these cookies is to provide you with a more personalized experience on our site based on your previous visits and selections. They save you the trouble of typing in your details or preferences every time you access a Site. Functional cookies may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages.

  • Statistical cookies

Statistical cookies help website owners to understand how visitors interact with websites by collecting and reporting information.

  • Marketing cookies

Marketing cookies are used to display advertisements that are relevant to specific users, adapted to their interests. They can be used to track the effectiveness of advertising campaigns on third party websites. Many of these cookies will identify you using your IP address, so they may collect some personal identifiable information.

When do cookies require consent?

Your consent is not legally required for the use of necessary cookies (essential cookies). Similarly, your consent is not required for the use of functional cookies, provided these cookies do not save any information that permits identification of the user and the collected information is aggregated and anonymous.

Statistical cookies are used to collect statistical information to optimize the website experience. None of the collected information is used to retarget visitors. Visitors can deactivate the use of these cookies.

For the use of marketing cookies your consent is required (under certain applicable laws) and SABIC will seek your consent accordingly when required. For more information on how to provide or withdraw your consent, please, see “How can I change my cookies settings?” below.

How can I change my cookies settings?

You can block and delete cookies by changing your browser settings. To manage cookies, most browsers allow you to refuse or accept all cookies or only to accept certain types of cookies. More information on how to change your browser settings can be found in the relevant instructions in the Help-function of your browser.

Our Site allows you to change your cookie setting at any time. At the top of this page, you can adjust your setting by clicking on the boxes.

If you disable the cookies on the Site, it may affect your user experience. In particular, without certain cookies, the Site(s) will not function properly and you will not be able to take advantage of certain features and functionalities.
