SABIC wins Edison Awards for the sixth consecutive year

For the sixth consecutive year, SABIC has demonstrated its industry-leading innovation, winning recognition for five of its innovative solutions at the Edison Awards.
Across three categories – Material Science, Energy & Climate Resiliency, and Clean Water, Food & Agriculture – SABIC won one gold, two silver and two bronze awards, which were announced at the Edison Awards Gala in Fort Myers, Florida, USA, on April 16, in the presence of innovation leaders, senior businesses executives, designers and academics.
Commenting on the accomplishment, Dr. Faisal M. In the Materials Science category, SABIC has won three awards: NORYL™ V0150TW / V0150IR2 resin engineered for the solar energy market; ULTEM™ SU3102P reactive oligomer thermoplastic toughening solution used in aerospace thermoset composites; and LNP™ ELCRES™ NP copolymers that provides manufacturers with solutions they can rely upon when addressing concerns over PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances), which are linked to potential health risks.
In the Energy & Climate Resiliency category, SABIC was recognized for its breakthrough membrane process, HybSi®, that replaces energy-intensive distillation for drying of chemicals reducing energy consumption by 70%.
In the Water, Food & Agriculture category, SABIC Agri-Nutrients was recognized for its innovative method of making bio-organometallic granules into agri-nutrients and soil bio-amendment, enhancing soil health to improve nutrient uptake. The unique sustainable mineral fertilizer creates a new generation of enhanced urea.
