As part of our overall Responsible Care® commitment, SABIC drives continuous improvement and the safe use of products in its entire value chain and beyond regulatory requirements.
The Responsible Care® Product Safety Code and related practices provide the framework for our management of chemicals of concern. These practices include the management of new and existing product safety information, risk characterization, product design, and value chain outreach together with our customers.
Through our internal Safer Chemistry program we scan our portfolio for chemicals of concern and seek opportunities to substitute, eliminate or reduce certain chemicals in order to lower the human and environmental hazard profiles of our products.
Our Product Stewardship team contributes with strong know-how about existing and evolving regulations as well as toxicological expertise to assess and improve product life cycles.
