Overview

Since the acquisition of DSM Petrochemicals in 2002, SABIC has established a strong and diverse presence across Europe. The region now includes 12 manufacturing and compounding facilities, three technology centers, and a broad network of commercial offices serving customers in nearly every European market

Our Footprint  

• European Head Office – Amsterdam, The Netherlands
  WTC Tower Ten, Strawinskylaan 1475, Amsterdam. The head office hosts teams from SABIC Europe B.V., SABIC Limburg B.V., SABIC Innovative Plastics B.V., and SABIC Capital B.V.  
• The Netherlands – Geleen (Chemelot).
  A key manufacturing ,Technology Center and corporate hub within Europe.  
• The Netherlands – Bergen op Zoom
  Major manufacturing site with Technology & Innovation capabilities for advanced materials.  
• United Kingdom – Teesside (Wilton & North Tees).
  A multi-site operation comprising manufacturing at Wilton and storage/logistics at North Tees.  
• Additional European site and local sales offices.
  Strategic manufacturing locations include Cartagena (Spain), Gelsenkirchen (Germany), Pontirolo (Italy), and Genk (Belgium).

What We Do in Europe  

We serve customers in core markets including transportation, agri-nutrients, construction, medical devices, packaging, clean energy, and electrical & electronics—delivering polymers, specialties, and chemicals essential to modern European living. 

Innovation & Sustainability  

Our European innovation network includes three technology centers and dedicated application capabilities. In 2023, SABIC opened the European Pipe Innovation Center near our Geleen site, providing development, testing, sampling, and validation services to collaborate closely with European pipe manufacturers. 

In 2024 SABIC opened the T&I Solution Center, also in Geleen,  dedicated to developing applications that cater to the unique needs and trends of various market segments across Europe. This new facility acts as a central hub for showcasing our   advanced technologies and sustainable solutions.
