SABIC, represented by its national initiative NUSANED™, participated as the platinum sponsor in the 9th Saudi Technical Conference and Exhibition organized during the period October 25-27 by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation in Riyadh under the title “Training for the Future: Knowledge Economy For Sustainable Development.

A group of experts, researchers, and representatives of the local and international business sector attended the three-day conference and exhibition.

The SABIC pavilion highlighted the achievements of NUSANED™, which is a localization engine that contributes to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Since its launch in early 2018, the initiative has created more than 9,800 jobs for both genders through its three pillars: Mua’hal that promotes the local workforce, Entema that facilitates access to finance, and Da’aem that promotes local content by supporting and qualifying entrepreneurs, investors and SMEs. 

“The Saudi Technical Conference and Exhibition represents an opportunity to learn about the new developments and skills required in the labor market to adapt them to the realities of training and to link them to educational and human resource outputs. SABC’s Initiative NUSANEDTM attaches great importance to this type of activity, which provides knowledge and practical enrichment to qualify competencies,” said Abdullah Al-Arifi, VP, Local Content and Business Development Unit.

The conference focuses on ways to develop manpower, programs, and curricula in technical and vocational training for future professions keeping in mind sustainable development. It also allows participants to exchange experiences and development initiatives in technical and vocational training.It also highlights successful investment and privatization experiences in technical and vocational training and enhances its role in sustainable development.
